This guide is for the Classic shards — SCDO Shard1 (Classic), SCDO Shard2 (Classic), SCDO Shard3 (Classic) and SCDO Shard4 (Classic) — which run go-scdo (ZPoW, CPU). For SCDO Shard0 (EVM) (chain ID 5680) see Get Started to use it with MetaMask, and Mining & Nodes for the GPU mining packages (Windows / Linux). Mining secures the network; block rewards are distributed automatically by the chain’s public, verifiable protocol rules and can be checked on this explorer.

Mining runs on a PC or server (Windows / Linux; Mac: wallet only, mining coming soon), not on a phone. There is currently no mining pool or stratum server: you run your own full node, it syncs the chain of your shard, then mines. The address you enter is set as the miner (coinbase) address of blocks your node mines. The first sync downloads the whole shard history (more than 6 million blocks, roughly 25 GB of disk) and can take many hours.
挖礦需在電腦或伺服器（Windows / Linux；Mac：目前僅錢包，挖礦即將支援）上執行，不能用手機。目前沒有礦池或 stratum 伺服器：你需要執行自己的全節點，節點同步完你所在分片的鏈之後再開始挖礦。你填寫的地址會被設為你的節點所挖區塊的礦工（coinbase）地址。首次同步需下載整個分片的歷史（超過 600 萬個區塊，約 25 GB 磁碟），可能需要數小時。

The prefix decides your shard (1S01 = SCDO Shard1 (Classic), 2S02 = SCDO Shard2 (Classic), ...). No address yet? Run client key --shard 1 and keep the private key safe.

Replace P2P_PRIVATE_KEY with the private key printed by client key --shard (use a separate key just for the node, not your wallet key).
